DetailsABOUT THIS PIECE:
The Common Tiger Butterfly (Danaus Genutia) is one of the more common butterflies found in India. There it is called the Striped Tiger to differentiate it from the Plain Tiger Butterfly. It’s part of the Danainae group of the brush-footed butterfly family.
Members of this genus are known to fake their own death. They have an unpleasant smell and taste, therefore are often released by predators.
Lucite block measures approximately 3 inches square. As with all real butterflies in resin; size, shape and positioning can vary slightly.
